Today is Jan 1st, 2021. As per the Persian saying - "This too shall pass", 2020 is also now in past, though the repercussions of 2020 will take more time to fade away.
It was a painful year, especially for the poor. Their survival was once again tested and the teaching from nature was very lucid. This world, the riches, the great and inexplicable economic cycles, the strong political principles - nothing can exist if that huge section of poor people does not survive. Arguably the better they become the stronger human society becomes.
I'm trying to go deep into that point. I was more shockingly surprised by how this situation was taken as an advantage by a few people having the hyena-like characteristics. The good point is that they're like bubbles in an ocean, and will soon disappear.
We complain about our politicians, corruption, the issues they bring up by their ideological differences and their constant behaviour of playing the blaming game. This pandemic has brought out clearly the inefficiency in handling the crisis situation, irrespective of whatever political party they belong to or their ideological principles. When a warlike crisis arose, it was left to the people to fight. The weakness of our technological progress was exposed. It was evident that our technology was not for entire humans progress. And, we lost precious lives even before we could realise the danger.
A simple question arises: Shouldn't we be prepared for this? We have had examples in past, A century ago, we witnessed Spanish flu, we know about the plague, Cholera, smallpox and what not? We make our children read about these contagious, dangerous diseases but how, as adults, we were prepared for any such attacks? Was it due to the arrogant, strong', baseless belief of humans that - Í'm the master here?
How should we move forward? Of course medicine, vaccinations are out for this covid- 19 but how are we going to be prepared in future on any health, environmental attack on humans? Is there a universal solution, which we can set as a basement platform and build the human progress on it?
Let me slightly go away now and talk about my weakness. Ok, my weakness is children. Those tender, fragile, soft creatures melt my heart. It is almost impossible for me to see a child in pain. My mind goes into that child, I start to feel that pain from that child's body.
Anyway, let's look at the positive side: aren't they beautiful? What can be more beautiful than a child's smile? And, when they grow they trust us. As parents, we give them love and protection, we introduce this wonderful world to them in a way that they can understand, in a language that they can feel. They grow in the hope that there's a future and this wonderful world promises that, and as parents, we ensure that they get it when they mature.
Can you see a thin ray of hope; that universal (or) base solution for human progress? Isn't it easy?
May I suggest that for a brighter future for human society, we should ensure that we leave a better world for our children and pass on this message to them? I mean not for my child only but for the entire next generation.
Our political, economical, scientifical, artistical, philosophical, physical, emotional, environmental - I mean all our actions should be based on the next generation's survival, existence, betterment. Won't it solve most of our problems?
The huge obstacle to stop us doing this will be greed. Our greed of exploiting, overconsuming whatever available on this earth naturally and created by ourselves, Why shouldn't we pause for a moment and correct our mistakes, respect nature and thereby trying to leave a better world for our next generation?
Sometimes, the best lesson is learnt from pain. As of today, the news is that Coronavirus (Covid-19) has mutated to become more aggressive in spreading and making it difficult for us to control. This is creating a panic among us.
Yes, if a virus is trying to create a better situation for next-generation, why shouldn't we, the masters of this world, humans?
